Art by Eve — Home of Selma

Art by Eve brings a softer, character-driven side of Curaçao into focus as the home of Selma, a character created by the store owner, artist Elly Hogenes, one of the most recognizable figures in Curaçao's local art scene. Selma is the warm, knowing grandmother everyone wishes they had — kind, patient, always listening. The pieces are approachable, expressive, and often carry a sense of familiarity that connects quickly with visitors.

The boutique carries the full range of Selma-inspired pieces alongside other island-themed artwork and keepsakes: mugs, canvas prints, jewelry, decorative items. Everything in the store is designed with affordability and giftability in mind, things that carry the warmth of the island home with you.

Elly also offers workshops at the store twice a week In small groups where you can create your own painted driftwood sign with your choice of different Selma or flamingo figures. A second Art-by-Eve location also operates at Papagayo Shopping Plaza.
